La costumbre se remonta a cuando los amigos de los novios decoraban el lecho nupcial con flores y cintas.  Los bienquerientes escoltaban a la pareja hasta su lecho conyugal, \"acostando\" a los reci\u00e9n casados.  Se dec\u00eda que la multitud no se marchaba hasta que los reci\u00e9n casados se desnudaban y estaban juntos en la cama, simbolizando la importancia de la procreaci\u00f3n. The custom dates back to friends of the bride and groom decorating the wedding bed with flowers and ribbons. It was said the crowd wouldn\\u2019t leave until the new husband and wife has stripped off and were in bed together, symbolising the importance of procreation.
